Keep Glendale Health Center Our Home for Primary Care!

Glendale Health Center provides a medical home to predominately uninsured patients and has ensured excellent care and continuity of care for its patients. Many of the 3,400 patients served each year are first generation immigrants and seniors who have long-standing relationships with the staff who provide culturally and linguistically appropriate care.
Currently, there is a proposal to privatize the clinic.
Supervisor Michael Antonovich is leading an effort to allow private companies to take over Glendale Health Center.
Slowly, services and access to health care are eroding. In the last seven months, Glendale’s clients have had to wait longer for available clinic appointments, since the Department has reduced the number of clinics in half. Six of ten Registered Nurses have been transferred and hundreds of patients must now find other care.

“Glendale Health Center is like a family. Patients have established relationships with the doctors and with staff. Privatizing Glendale Health Center would take this home away from our patients.”
