A hundred City of Oxnard SEIU 721 members came out to a Rally on Wheels event outside the Oxnard Library to get updates on bargaining and display their strength and unity on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.
What’s Going On?
We have been at the bargaining table since November of 2012. Members have been patient, but the recently passed city budget did not allocate any funds to cover our bargaining proposals.
September 10 City Council Meeting
Gather 5:30 p.m. in Library Parking Lot
Members feel disrespected and now it’s time to speak up and turn up the heat on the City Council.
Just as we showed our numbers and strength at the Rally on Wheels, we need to have a big showing at the City Council meeting on September 10.
The City Council meeting is at 7 p.m. and we will begin gathering at 5:30 p.m. at the rally truck near the Oxnard Library parking lot.
Make sure to purple up to show unity and bring your family and friends.
