If the number of people who voted does not meet your quota for further action – Think Again. This is the largest turn out you have ever seen from Riverside County employees. The momentum is building. If you discount the people that turned out to vote we will be back to the old “the union does nothing for us” and it would be hard to argue anything different.

Please understand that the represented workers continue to build a strong alliance with each other. Please don’t stop now or we will continue to be used as the Board of Supervisors ATM machines for every finical shortfall in the County.

  2. I don’t understand why SEIU even negotiated that employees pay 8% of their retirement at all. And on top of that why add in furloughs? Regardless of the outcome of the vote, we are screwed. The only thing that matters at this point is the fairness agreement. Why won’t the BOS sign it if their intent is to play fair? The answer is because they do NOT intend to play fair. SEIU employees are going to end up paying 8% of their retirement and take furloughs while the BOS, management and other unions get away scott free.

  3. Riverside County has a professional negotiator, why don’t we have a professional negotiator handling this deal for us. We do not want to have our retirement compromised.
