On August 17th at Dodger Stadium, SEIU 721 members devoted their Saturdays to LA County’s families. Members gave out backpacks, served food and educated people about the Affordable Care Act at the Fresh Start Festival, which was organized by our brothers and sisters at ULTCW.
The festival is a way to bring community members together and to help working families get a fresh start as their children head back to school.

At this year’s festival, SEIU 721 members focused on signing people up for the Affordable Care Act. Most working Californians will receive healthcare coverage under the act starting in 2014.
