SEIU 721 Ventura Superior Court members voted in their new bargaining team. Members voted at worksite meetings at all three different Ventura Court sites and the votes were tallied on Wed., June 29 at the SEIU 721 Ventura office.
Thanks to SEIU member leadership, the Tri-Counties Regional Center has received additional funding from the State of California (ABX2-1 funds) and a large portion of those funds are required to be used for employee salaries. Salary increases are key to retaining the experienced professionals that our communities need to serve families with disabilities.
The SEIU Local 721 Santa Barbara County bargaining team met with County negotiators for its initial session. The SEIU team is in the process of formulating its proposals which will help strengthen Santa Barbara County – for workers and the rest of the community.
SEIU 721 County of Riverside members serve the community and often County leaders and even high-level managers don’t understand the complexity, pressure and sometimes danger of the work that members do on a daily basis.
Recent bomb threats at HSA locations put the public and workers at risk. Management’s poor communication as these incidents evolved left workers and the public in the dark.

All SEIU 721 bargaining units (A, G, S & Q) in the City of Ventura voted overwhelmingly to approve the tentative agreement. Voting and information sessions took place at various worksites on April 20 and April 28.
Congratulations to the new 2016 SEIU Local 721 Riverside County Bargaining Team! The bargaining team election was held on April 22.
